Product FAQs
1.What are REMLOR®
films?
REMLOR decorative glass enhancement films come in different
patterns and shades, and are easily removed and replaced to
update the appearance of any flat glass surface. Regular glass
can be turned into a work of art, be it an office, restaurant,
den, bathroom or child's room. Return To Top
2.Where
and why are REMLOR decorative glass enhancement films installed?
REMLOR decorative glass enhancement films are
ideally suited for applications that require day
or night privacy without sacrificing natural light
levels in both commercial and residential applications.
Commercial applications are found in banks, restaurants,
health clubs, hotel foyers, conference rooms and
office partitioning. Commercial buildings are
dramatically increasing the use of internal glass
walls as partitioning. This brings natural light
into offices creating greater work productivity,
as well as the illusion of more space while offering
privacy. Residential applications include solariums,
bathrooms, entry doors and sidelights, etc. Return

3.Why
REMLOR film?
Architects and designers have accepted the finished product
enthusiastically. Decorative glass enhancement film is no
longer seen as a problem-solving product; instead it has become
an integral part of the design and construction processes.
Many new building projects are specifying REMLOR decorative
glass enhancement film patterns. The film's theme normally
continues throughout the office area and sometimes is personalized
with a corporate logo or graphic. Return To

4.Will
the heat or cold affect REMLOR?
No, REMLOR is not affected by the elements; it actually insulates
your glass, and may even reduce energy costs.

5.What
is the durability of REMLOR? i.e., how many months/years does
it last?
This depends on the location you are going to install (bathroom,
living room, air conditioned room or not...), and where are
you living, but in general 3-5 years is normal. When not exposed
to sunlight or excessive U.V., REMLOR may last beyond 10 years.

6.Will
REMLOR block UV rays, to stop fading my furniture, carpet,
etc…?
Not particularly. The film is primarily for decoration and
privacy purposes. It is important to understand there are
multiple causes for fading, UV rays, visible light, infrared
rays, heat, and our films do not reduce all of them significantly.

7.Does
REMLOR have an adhesive backing?
Yes, all of our decorative glass enhancement films have a
pressure sensitive adhesive backing. This helps the film to
stay on your window over extended periods of time. It also
helps to keep the corners from peeling. It can be easily removed
with a razor blade if needed. Return To Top
8.Does
REMLOR block out all sunlight?
REMLOR decorative glass enhancement films come in a variety
of styles, patterns and colors. The majority of them will
diffuse sunlight, filter the UV rays, and let a more pleasant
natural light into the room. Other films can block out the
light completely if desired. Whatever your desired effect,
REMLOR likely has a film to suit your needs. Return

9.Which
films will give me the most light possible, while still providing
privacy?

through, we suggest films in the Creative
Impressions Line. However, you will find that

15.Can
REMLOR films be removed?
Yes. Unlike other decorative glass processes, REMLOR decorative
glass enhancement films can be removed if desired. This of
course is a huge advantage and most landlords do not object
to their tenants' installation of film when they find out
the product can be removed. To remove REMLOR films simply
peel away the film from one corner and pull the film from
the glass. Should any adhesive remain on the glass it can
easily be removed with a spray of soapy water and a single
edge razor blade. In addition, the cost of installing REMLOR
decorative glass enhancement films on existing glass is low
in comparison to other processes. Return To

but we do not have catalogs. We do however sell
samples. If there is anything you would like to
see in person before placing an order.Return

Installation and Care FAQs
19.How
are REMLOR films installed?
All REMLOR decorative glass enhancement films have a permanent
acrylic adhesive system protected by a removable release liner
which must be removed prior to installation. Films are installed
using a water and soap based solution. See Installation Instructions.

20.Can you use REMLOR
on surfaces other than glass?
REMLOR decorative glass enhancement films are typically used
on glass and mirrors, however may be used on other surfaces.
These films are manufactured with an acrylic adhesive which
can be removed from glass with soap and water solution and
single edged razor blade. The use of a single edged razor
blade may not be conducive to other surfaces. It is always
best to test an area first. Return To Top
21.Once
I have REMLOR installed, how do I clean it?
The best cleaner is soapy water, but you may use your normal
glass cleaner as well. Return To Top
22.How
do I remove and store REMLOR?
Simply, start in one corner and peel the vinyl off the surface.
To store, place product on the backing paper it came on, roll
it up, and store in a dry place. Return To
Top
23.Can
the film be placed on bathroom shower doors? I was wondering
if the humidity and moisture will cause the film to peel off.
Yes, it can. Apply the film outside of shower door. If circumstances
allow, please do not use it for about 1 week to 10 days after
the film installation for dry out. But this is not necessarily
needed. Return To Top
24.Can
your films be installed on Plexiglas?
If it's not facing outdoors, and you are going to use inside
of your house, like room dividers or something, and air-conditioned
room, its okay to install. Unlike glass or mirror, Plexiglas
intends to shrink and expand by temperature, it may cause
many small air bubbles between glass surface and film as time
goes on. Return To Top
25.My
windows have a texture to them, kind of a bumpy hammered type
for some privacy. Would I be able to use your film on my windows?
No, surface of the windows must be totally flat and smooth
glass, otherwise it will come off. Return To
Top
26.Your
instruction says "leave a gap of 1/8 inch
between all edges of the film and the window frame."
Why?
We recommend leaving a gap 1/8”, or even
1/16”, because it makes easier to squeeze
out wetting solution when you are applying and
prevent risk of coming off. If you placed the
film to just fit within the window frame, with
no gap, the wetting solution would rise the film
up near the area where the film and window frame
were touching, and would not stick those area
after dry out. Return To Top
